Crafty Creations Challenges # 288

We have a Photo Inspiration for the next two weeks at Crafty Creations Challenges.  Our Sponsor is Stitchy Bear Stamps and I got to pick an image to work with.  I couldn't resist "Drivers Ed" ~ isn't she just adorable?

I used Copics to color the image ~ I'm really trying to learn "shading & highlighting." It does help to have the correct pens (like an 000, 01, 03, 05, etc). I'm slowly adding to my Copic collection, so maybe I'll enjoy coloring more down the road.  My coloring is far from perfect but then we all have to start somewhere {smile}

I colored a few white flowers with a re-inker spritzer and added a handmade crystal bead spray ~ afterall, this woman just looks like she needed a little bling.

I carried the sketch to the inside and I've cut a white circle to go in the pale blue scallop. I'm just not sure if I want a sentiment on the front or on the inside . . . or even what that sentiment will be . . . so I thought I'd wait to glue it down until I decide.  I think this image requires a sassy sentiment, don't you?

You have two weeks to join along so get out your crafting supplies and show us your creations. Any crafty item can be entered (not just cards).  We love to see what you create.

Stop by Crafty Creations Challenges to see what the other DT members created for your inspiration.

The Photo Inspiration:
Think colors, dandelions, circle cards, scallops, layers of squares or rectangles, wish... Surprise us!

Crafty Creations Sketch Challenge

This week Crafty Creations has a Sketch Challenge for you.  We're sponsored by Stitchy Bear's Digital Outlet.

I used a set from Coosty Creations (at Stitchy Bears) called Aubrietia.  The background papers are also in this set. I colored the flower with Copics, added some ribbon, a decorative punched flower piece and a home-made enamel dot.

Here's the sketch. Check out the Crafty Creations blog to see what the other Design Team members created ~ and we'd love to have you join along.

Christmas Card Challenges: No Designer Paper

I'm sorry for the late post for this Challenge, but I was away on a cruise.  I scheduled 2 others but completely forgot about this one; even though my card was done. However, there's still plenty of time to play along with us at Christmas Card Challenges. The theme this week is:
No Designer Paper
Yes, that's right . . . leave all those fancy papers in their storage area.  This week you'll need to pull out your embossing folders, die cuts, punches, stamps, markers, watercolors, etc. and create away.

I used stamps that I've had for eons but seldom use ~ mainly because I forgot I had them. I love a Challenge that forces me to dig through my craft supplies ~ it's like shopping without spending any money.  Please stop by the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see what the other DT members created this week.  Then, get creative . . . you never know what you might find in your crafting stash.

Crafty Creations - Pick your Holiday

With Easter around the corner, I decided to pick Easter as my holiday for the current challenge over at Crafty Creations.  We're sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps so I used one of their stamps called "Three Amigos."

I colored the image with Copics and went for bright, cheery colors. After all, that's how I remember Easter as a child ~ colorful eggs, jelly beans and, of course, a new colorful dress.

How can these three characters not bring a smile to your face? I can't wait for Easter. I added leftover Crate Paper 6x6 Pad Little Bo Peep DSP  to the inside, as well as the sentiment (from Doodle Pantry's Floral Hats set).

What holiday will you pick for your card this week? Please stop by our challenge blog (click here) to see what the other DT members have created.
