Friendships . . .

I printed this Doodle Pantry digital image a month or so ago ~ and it never got used.  I'm in the process of re-organizing (aka cleaning) my Craft Room/Office and found it in a pile of ... well ... "stuff."  I'm sure you have a pile or two like that also, right?

I felt crafty tonight and decided to finally turn this beautiful digi into a card.  And, everything just fell into place:
~ The sentiment has the word "heart" in it
~ I found a sheet of light yellow DSP with hearts in my paper stash
~ I found a heart in my charm stash so I put together a pin and used the heart
~ Even my bow cooperated this evening; first attempt

And Tuesday Morning Sketches gave me the inspiration with their sketch this week.

Life is good !

I love the sentiment ~ and the heart DSP ~ and the heart charm.  Things don't normally go this smoothly for me (i.e., card completed and photographed in less than 1 hour)

And here's the Tuesday Morning sketch I used~see, it has a heart. My card was just "meant to be" LOL

Crafty Creations Challenge #281

I'm a bit late posting the new challenge at Crafty Creations. I thought I had written it, then realized the post I wrote was for another day.

So, the Challenge Theme for the next two weeks is:
Something Old . . . Something New

My digi image is from our sponsor, Fresh Brewed Designs. It's called Peek A Boo Sunshine.  The sentiment is computer generated . . . it was either this sentiment or "the sun'll come out tomorrow" which just didn't do it for me.

My Something Old: My Copics (this wasn't very hard to color)
My Something New: The Love Charm. I just got it.
Note: I should explain that on the digi image, there is a little "charm" hanging off the cloud. So I can't really take credit for putting this charm where I did . . . it "belonged" there.

I printed a second digi image, cut out the clouds, colored them and added dimension. After all, clouds are "puffy" right?

Christmas Card Challenges #50

The Challenge theme this week at Christmas Card Challenges is:
Faith Based

This is one of my favorite digital images. I just love coloring it (yes, it's b&w line art that I actually colored myself using Copics).

Christmas Card Challenge #11

It's hard to believe that we're already to week 11. Considering we start after Thanksgiving, that's about right. But the time sure is flying by.

This week the Christmas Card Challenge (click here) is a Color Challenge:
Blue and Silver

In full disclosure ~ the card I'm posting is actually the third blue and silver card I made. I liked the design of the first one, but the blue I used looked yucky (I think that's a word) in the photo. The second card is very similar to my final card, but I didn't like the way the ribbon/bow looked in the photo. Perhaps I just need to learn how to take better photos {smile}.

Unfortunately my Card Recipe isn't going to help you much this week. The ribbon is from my stash (2 small pieces that I used up-Yay!!); the stick pin I made over a year ago and the snowflake charm I bought through Ebay. The silver and blue metallic papers I purchased from Clear Bags about 2+ years ago. I cut the ornament using the Cricut Craft Room a month or so ago, but I don't know it's name because it was a freebie for one week-fortunately I cut 3 of them out of the silver metallic cardstock.

Please stop by the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see the beautiful creations the other Design Team members created this week.  And, get out your blue and silver papers/embellishments and make a Christmas Card.  You'll be glad you did when November rolls around.
