Never Too Busy for a Card

Another week is almost over and I'm still struggling with getting things done. Our weather has turned hot and humid and I think it's sapping all my strength (and will).

But, I do have a card to share with you. It was for very dear friends who recently renewed their wedding vows. These were their colors and I like the way the card came together. I hope they did also.

I borrowed the "Congrats" die from another friend (that's the only way we can afford what we all want...we each buy a few things and share them with each other). The "Wedding Cake" digital image is, unfortunately, a retired digi by Birdie Brown (the link to her website is in the sidebar).

I half-cut the oval scallop with a Spellbinders die out of the yellow cardstock, then die-cut the same half oval out of white cardstock and ran that through an embossing folder.

I colored the Wedding Cake using Copics, then added some sparkle to the frosting with glitter. I die-cut a teal oval to frame the design. After fussy-cutting the cake, I popped it up with dimensionals.

I'm entering this card in the following Challenges (click on the name to be taken to their website):
  1. Creative Card Crew: Use Punches/Dies
  2. CAS-ual Fridays: CFC103 Create a CAS Congratulations Card
  3. Corrosive Challenges by Janet: Use a Frame
