Doodle Pantry: For a Friend

Mom. . . if you are reading this blog post . . . STOP . . . read NO FURTHER ! !  This is not for your eyes . . . you can come back and read it AFTER April 14th {smile}.

OK, now onto today's post . . . and hopefully my mom is no longer reading what I write.

Beginning today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the weekly Challenge at Aud Sentiments. The theme is: For a Friend

I thought I would join in the fun so I created a card using a couple of Doodle Pantry's new releases.

These darling floral images are from the Joyful Day set. I also used a digi-paper from the same set.

I grouped two pre-colored floral branches together to create the above.

Then I removed the branch to create a border for the sentiment, which is from the Bird Mothers set.  I love this sentiment because my mom really is my best friend (she was my Matron-of-Honor at my wedding).

A sponged paper doily, some coordinating ribbon, pearls and a computer-generated Happy Birthday completes this side-step card.

Check out all the new April releases at Doodle Pantry (click here or click on the pictures below to go to the detail page for each set). Also, stop by Aud Sentiments this week to join in the For a Friend Challenge.
