Lucky you! Since it's Sunday, I'm sharing another Christmas Card I made as a member of the
Christmas Card Challenges DT. This week the theme is:
Polka Dots. I used a Cuttlebug Embossing folder to create my polka dots.
Long story to this card, but I'll try to keep it short. I made a resolution this year to use up items I've already 'cut / punched / stamped / embossed / etc' since I have too many half-finished projects taking up precious space.
I found the embossed cardstock with a partial circle already punched (not sure what my original plan was for this piece). And I found the digi snowman, by TiddlyInks, already printed and cut out. So I colored him up with Copics. Then I found this scrap piece of DP and green CS and the card was born.
After using the plaid DP on the front, I only had a small strip left, so I had to improvise on the inside. I carried the dotted embossed paper to the inside, but punched a partial circle so I could write a message easier. I sponged around the edges using Memento Bamboo Leaves.
Now for the "honesty" part . . . I had the front all put together, then realized that I didn't like the sentiment (from Stamp Fairy) on top of the embossed CS. So, I lifted the corner (thank goodness my dimensionals had not "set" yet and I was still able to pull it apart), and I punched another partial circle for the sentiment.
Four of my "old" stash used up . . . only 239 pieces left to go (or thereabouts). {smile}
